In moi university, school of information science  offer education and training by developing high-level manpower for the management of information systems, services and resources in the country through practical and development oriented programmed, research, continuing education programmed and community based information activities.
the institution has produce a number of successful students with different professionals.  
Moses kajwang was a student in Moi university school of information science where he graduated with a bachelors degree in Information Sciences. in moi university Kajwang specialized in IT.
at the moment he is the new senator of  Homabay county.
 the school of information science in moi university produce the best professionals in the entire institution.

    I have liked the way School of information sciences perform of late, under the leadership of Professor Justus Wamukoya. Results and Trips, which for along time has been hectic to deal with, have been dealt with accordingly. if this trend continues, i see intellects and experts only! no undergraduates, no postgraduates,all intellects.Bravo Our Professor.

Mr. Charles Ringera the Chief Executive Officer has issued a rather controversial order that no graduate will enter the job market without producing the clearance certificate from helb. The policy which is in the making and can be implemented very soon will affect many students in Moi University since majority of students relies on helb for education support. Any graduate who wants to be employs will be recurred to produce a clearance certificate from helb or have a part with K sh 1000 in order to get the certificate to either prove that the graduate is servicing the loan or has cleared it before being allowed to start a job. This rule will apply to both helb beneficiary and non-beneficiaries. The news is not likely to be received by students. How can one be expected to pay the loan without getting the job first? Is helb a help or a hell?

Peer pressure is a venom that kills the morality of many campus students. The most surprising fact is that no matter how bad the morality health is deteriorating, no one seems to care enough to get antidotes but continue to pump in more and more killer venom into their veins and their blood becomes full of it. In basic physics, when you stretch a spiral ring past the limit point it loses its function.  It’s funny on how many guys in campus will enjoy their lives to the fullest without having to boast of how many girls they had themselves involved with sexually or how many bashes and shisha parties they are going to attend and smoke? If so did you see them die? And how many girls do you know of that leave campus while still virgins?  As much as what I have talked about might not be much, consider chances of heavy drinking, dating lecturers and smuggling drugs.
